Resilience, long thought to be the ability to bounce back from a failure or tough situation is now moving proactively into a component of one’s success.
“More than education, more than experience, more than training, a person’s level of resilience will determine who succeeds and who fails. That’s true in the cancer ward, it’s true in the Olympics, and it’s true in the boardroom.” Dean Becker, CEO of Adaptiv Learning Systems.
Today President Elect Donald Trump just won the US election. Many are feeling overwhelmed, shocked and hope/helpless. There is a sense that the ground is shifting under our feet and out of our control. You may be finding that old ways of coping with these or your own challenges are no longer working for you. And being told to “get over it” or “get on with your life” is just not helpful.
Resilience is in all of us and can be built and flexed like a muscle needed for heavy lifting. While this all sounds pretty heavy it doesn’t have to be that way on the learning journey.
Join us in a playful session called Resilience as a Path to Transformation to discover your resilience and learn to ride the waves of change with ease at the @IgniteSummits #Leadership and Wellness Conference in #Banff. www.ignitesummits.com
This is a wonderful invitation to explore how we cope with challenges and tap into our natural instincts that support our resilience. Thank you Erin !
